We like to think of ourselves as a team that always endorses the integration of our various backgrounds and philosophies, merging graphic design, visual arts and programming into successful results - into works that are consistently fresh and compelling. Below you can find a short timeline version of our creative journey, which is essentialy a brief history of the World Wide Web through our designer's eyes.

  • 2000

    Foundation

    xero was founded in Athens, Greece. Netscape was the browser of choice, Google was just another small search engine at the time and most of the web was still a bunch of untastefully-colored tables.

  • 2002-2005

    The Athens 2004 era

    Working as a sub-contractor for various advertising agencies (including Leo Burnett, Spot JWT and others) we created websites, packaging and online campaigns for organisations, ministries and multinational corporate clients around the period that Greece organised and hosted the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.

  • 2006-2010

    The reign of Adobe Flash

    During this pre-smartphone/tablet era, flash animations were the real deal. We created literally thousands of them for promotions, micro-sites, banner campaigns and online games for brand names like Fiat, Wella, Sony Ericsson, Honda, Johnny Walker and others. We still do many flash games with Actionscript 3, destined for desktop or exported as mobile apps through the Adobe AIR framework.

  • 2011 - present

    Everything mobile

    As portable device use sky-rocketed and creating applications for these devices was by then essential for any organisation, the web got itself an updated language to match the challenge: HTML5. For our part, we make sure we always work along the latest guidelines using the latest technologies in order to make your content as accessible as possible -in a future that looks now more promising than ever.
